The Congaree Vista Guild held the grand opening and ribbon-cutting for Dulce Bakery and Café at 1213 Lincoln Street Tuesday, September 17 at 11:00 a.m.

Located in the former space of Cupcake Down South, owners Iris Perea and Sharisa Boyle have moved their bakery, Cake Collection Boutique, to the Vista from their Irmo location and rebranding. In this new location, they will offer sweet treats such as cupcakes, cake slices, tres leche and brownies as well as savory breakfast sandwiches and coffee.

City dignitaries attended the event as well as Congaree Vista Guild board members and Vista business owners.

Dulce Bakery and Café owners plan to eventually offer a cafe during lunch hours with soups and sandwiches and a dessert bar at night.
